Course Description This
course is conducted in Portland, Oregon at Oregon Health and Science
University (OHSU). It gives massage therapists hands-on experience in a
clinical setting with patients receiving treatment in a chemotherapy
infusion unit. Therapists will work in two different infusion clinics,
hematology malignancies and a medical oncology infusion unit that also sees
patients in treatment for such conditions as MS, rheumatoid rheumatoid
arthritis, and anemia. There will be 24 contact hours with the massage staff
that includes instruction and supervision. Nursing staff will also oversee
the therapists during their shifts at the clinics. therapists will perform
12, three-hour shifts on a weekly basis.

Living with Cancer within the last 18 months

OHSU background check and urinalysis
